There it goes again, shooting arrows into beings unknown
With what just struck, mesmerized remain the souls in town
The perplexed Minds start to wonder, questioning the cause
Is it part of some Mystical Destiny or just remorse?
Cupids, in all their grandeur, wonder how they do it all
Whether they go about, differentiating the similarities found
Or just give the existing differences, a matching call
One may never know, maybe it’s both or the other way round
When the arrow pierces, the cherubic feeling spreads its wings
No amount of preparation is adequate for the pain and the joy it brings
Springs up within, a fear of never knowing till when it might last
Fight it or Leave it all, decide on the part to be played in cupid’s cast
Enigma engulfs the senses in ecstasy as an upshot of cupid’s dart
The path might never be as glib as it appeared at the consented start
Steps taken forward and apprehensions about the intricacy arise
Amidst all the phobias, does the force exist, to face any surprise?
The feeling, it can be joy on the outside, but pain concealed inside
Or on the face, the tears & smiles at the same instant, try and confide
Inspiring to know, it can breakdown and rule any obdurate pride
Begin believing in principles and beliefs, earlier personally defied
Times roll on getting weird by the minute, things don’t seem to be sane
Emotions get mixed up… Pain feels like joy and joy, some kind of pain
Even if in a place like paradise, keep staring out of the windowpane
Feel warm in the rain and lonely in a crowd, it’s never easy to explain
Strange senses awaken; start to hear words spoken through silence
Everything seems different… it’s all part of the experience
Can one live without it or is it worth to die for, which of it is true?
Million dollar questions, each being has to answer, when time is due
The Unfortunate truth remains… no one can clap with just one hand
Unknown past or known futures… just turn the hourglass of sand
Confronting challenges with a hope of the blissful peace and intimacy
Whatever said and done, play well thy role… in The Cupid Conspiracy
