On the Edge

There are times… when you feel you’re on the edge
On all fronts… there is confusion, full fledge
At these times… it gets too very difficult to judge
Whether you have to or don’t have to budge

You get that feeling that you need to express
But there’s something within that lets it suppress
Thinking about my inability… leaves me depressed
But others’ pleasure… that gets me impressed

Difficult to decide… on which side to jump
To let it out or keep it in… could lead to a slump
It’s stuck in the throat like a lump
Connections go haywire in your brain’s dump

Left with decisions… whether to take or not to take
Ain’t easy to differentiate between the real and the fake
You get that feeling of a mirage… with life at stake
Got to realize… whether to live for oneself or for others’ sake
